This was a fun ride along some backroads in Cannon County, TN. Round trip for me ended up being about 120 miles. Good thing the KLR fuel tank is roomy. The roads along the route are primarily rough asphalt, with some of the standard countryside roadway hazards. However, a good portion of the route is hard packed gravel. If I’m bragging, there were two ‘creek crossings’. If I’m telling another rider the truth, there were two places with some flowing water over the road surface.
These are all public roads, so be mindful of the ever-present possibility of oncoming traffic. And, there were a couple dogs that very rapidly tried to introduce themselves to me. Make sure to wave at cars and see how many friendly folks wave back. Always makes me smile! If you’d enjoy listening to some tunes while riding or driving this route, I suggest “Dark Holler Pop” by Mipso.
